Korean Kimchi Fried Rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cooked rice (Japanese rice prefer)

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • 1/4 cup kimchi, chopped

  • 2 tbsp kmchi juice

  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped

  • 1 tsp Gochutgaru

  • 1/2 tsp Gochujang

  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 fried egg

  • 1 /4 tsp roasted sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

  • On a medium-high heat pan or wok, add cooking oil and minced garlic. Stir it fast for about 15 seconds.

  • Then add the kimchi and stir it well for 1 minute.

  • Add Gochutgaru, Gochujang, sugar and soy sauce. Stir for 20 seconds.

  • Add the cooked rice and kimchi juice. Toss and stir well together.

  • Quickly add sesame oil and chopped green onion. Toss and stir well for 30 seconds.

  • Transfer to a plate or a bowl, then add fried egg on top.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
